The Pegasus 210 also boasts a liquid resistant C-face which protects the touch pad, the keyboard and switches from spillages.
Stay connected
The Pegasus 210 features a wealth of communication options to ensure that mobile users can always stay connected when away from the office. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are supplied as standard allowing users to connect to; a Local Area Network now found in a multitude of locations (train and railway station, hotels, etc) and various state-of-the-art external devices. 3G HDSPA connectivity is also available as an upgrade for those who wish to ensure the internet is instantly available no matter where they are travelling.
Safe not sorry
Taking confidential, sensitive data on the road comes hand in hand with security risks, the Pegasus 210 features advanced security facilities to ensure confidential data always remains guarded. Rejecting access from unauthorised users such as hackers or if the notebook is stolen, the P210 offers complete peace of mind with storage security, authority justification and integrity measurements. The P210 boasts; a Biometric Fingerprint Reader, a secure and reliable authentication device for log-in or to access sensitive information, which also eliminates the need to remember passwords which can be easily forgotten or hacked; a Trusted Platform Module (TPM 1.2) or 'Root-of-Trust', a chain of trust procedures monitoring every step, from pre-boot to OS load, to guard against unauthorized tampering from physical theft of software attack; and finally advanced Password Security options enabling supervisors/users to lock the HDD if an unauthorised user attempts to enter the system (especially useful in the event of a theft).
The Pegasus 210 is based on Intel's UMPC architecture and is supplied with an 80GB HDD, 1GB DDR2 RAM and a choice of either Microsoft Windows XP Professional or Microsoft Windows Vista Business. The Pegasus 210 also features a 12" WXGA LCD boasting a LED Backlight panel which not only offers more realistic colour contrast but also contributes to battery life saving by consuming significantly less power than a standard panel.
