Press Release
Another quarter, another top spot.
On its 1 year anniversary, HannsG is ranked 4th in the UK Monitor Market
Hemel Hempstead, England, 4th October 2007
After trading for only 1 yr in the UK, the latest report from monitor analysts, Meko, ranks HannsG 4th for UK and Eire monitor sales with a 6.9% market share. (Monitor rankings, Q2 2007)
Having only opened its doors to the UK market in April 2006, HannsG has already become a leader in its field and a force to be reckoned with, out ranking large forces such as; ViewSonic, Samsung and Acer. HannsG couldn't have asked for a better birthday present.
"Since its entry to the market, HannsG has been very successful as using its vertically integrated supply chain to provide a stable supply of desktop LCD monitors at very attractive market prices", noted Pete Gamby, research director at Meko. "This has allowed the company to enjoy seasonal and year on year growth above that of the overall market. For the company's UK operation, this has resulted in a very impressive fourth place ranking in our market data for Q2 this year".
"As LCD supply becomes tight and prices for key components rise, it will be those suppliers like HannsG that have very close relationships with the LCD panel suppliers that will be able to continue to hold or even grow market share in the coming quarters", added Gamby.
"Several key factors have contributed to our continued success in the UK market; strong support from our parent company in relation to; product quality, depth of portfolio, price/performance and reaction to market conditions. These factors coupled with the strength of our channel partners, have enabled the development of the HannsG brand into an established and respected monitor player in a relatively short period of time ", says Martin Kent, Territory Manager, UK and Northern Europe, HANNspree UK Ltd.
HANNSG is a subsidiary of the Hannstar Display Corporation in Taiwan, one of the world's largest panel manufacturers and producer of various components used in the display industry and consequently produces LCD display, TV and notebook panels for many of the world's leading brands. HannsG enjoys the manufacturing cost benefits of its parent company Hannstar enabling the HannsG brand to deliver at competitive prices into the UK and European markets. The price point coupled with the additional benefits of high quality design, image performance and customer support (All HannsG LCD products are sold with a comprehensive 3 year on site warranty in the UK mainland and Eire) equates to extremely attractive display solutions. HannsG monitors are available from distributors Ingram Micro and Micro-P in the UK and Midia in Eire.
