Destinator Technologies makes four senior appointments to drive global marketing, product management and European sales

Munich, Germany, 1st June

Destinator Technologies, leaders in navigation device software, has strengthened its management with four senior product management, marketing and sales appointments.

John Craig joins the company's executive management team as VP Product Management and Marketing with global responsibility for the company's product rollout and marketing programmes. Previously he was VP Product Management at Cambridge Positioning Systems, developing positioning solutions for indoor and urban environments and building eco-systems for location-based services. A frequent conference speaker on the location technology and services market, John also has some 15 years experience working for Ericsson in a number of senior product management and marketing roles.

He is joined by Audrey McCallum, who has been appointed VP Sales for Europe. Previously, Audrey held senior sales and business development roles at Ericsson, working with mobile operators such as Vodafone, T Mobile and 02. She was also corporate sales director at Esat Digifone (02 Ireland) and joins Destinator from Porto Media where she was Business Development and Licensing Director, responsible for content licensing and channel development for digital movie distribution.

For the first time, Destinator will have a UK-based sales manager with the appointment of Simon Jessup to cover the UK and Scandinavian regions. He joins Destinator from digital photography software provider Pixology where he was International Business Development Manager. Previously, he held senior product marketing and purchasing roles with a number of UK retailers including Software Warehouse and the Dixons Group.

Jochen Merklien also joins Destinator as Regional Sales Manager for the DACH region, covering Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Previously, he held senior sales, channel marketing and business development roles with Pinnacle Systems and Nokia DP. He was responsible for Pinnacle's OEM sales in Central Europe to tier one customers such as Medion, Fujitsu Siemens and Acer.
